Robert Goodwin has conducted a highly respected architectural and interior design practice in New Hope, Pennsylvania since 1978.

His core sensibility is not trend driven, but is rooted in Classic design, enlivened with modern contrasts. In creating designs for living he embraces the essential hierarchy: function, comfort and stimulation of the senses. Clients are drawn to Robert for his ability to interpret their views and to refine, with an educated eye, their personal visions and style.

Projects range from nests for growing families to vacation escapes, retreats from a demanding world and entertainment-oriented spaces for clients with corporate or community responsibilities. His talent for reconfiguring problem spaces and expanding small houses has led to the design of complete new residences in collaboration with his resident registered architect, Rachel Birch. While the great majority of his work is in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, many other projects have been realized in New England, California, New York City and Barbados.
